Background

I've been teaching at the Ohio Institute of Photography and Technology for the last 6 years,
before that I worked with AGI Photographic Imaging, a commercial photography studio.
I freelance with Fine Light Inc. in Bloomington, Indiana and Photographik Co. in Dayton, Ohio.



The Website

This site is an outlet for my personal work, mostly abstract, pinhole and documentary photographs.

My Process

I mainly shoot in Black and White using both film and digital. “I love they way you can make an image do whatever you want,
with a good understanding of your medium”. My favorite topics are my son, old buildings and Volkswagen Beetles,
both real and toy ones. My favorite equipment is my homemade large format (4x5 and 5x7) extreme wide-angle pinhole cameras. These cameras have the equivalent of a 20 to 40mm lens on a 4x5 camera.
I've always loved distortion. Chances are, I spent too much time looking at Bill Brandt and André Kertész distortion portfolio's.
